2016 Green Party Presidential Candidate, Dr. Jill Stein, is coming to the Campus Life Center at USC Upstate in Spartanburg, SC.

At the rally, Dr. Stein will discuss why so little progress has been made on student-debt, single payer healthcare and environmental protection. These critical issues are being ignored by the other presidential candidates who are spending their time hurling insults at each other, or showcasing their ignorance of foreign affairs.

Stein's campaign is centered around the "Green New Deal".  "This plan will end unemployment and poverty; avert climate catastrophe; build a sustainable, just economy; and recognize the dignity and human rights of everyone in our society and our world. The power to create this new world is not in our hopes, it’s not in our dreams - it’s in our hands.”

Joining Stein at the rally will be South Carolina Green Party nominee for the US Senate, Thomas Dixon. Dixon, like several others, are running for office as "fusion" candidates, nominated by more than one party. Also appearing is Columbia, SC's own Let The Madness Begin.

By posting flyers on your campus, starting a chapter of Young Greens, organizing and engaging in direct actions in person and online, dialoguing with other college groups who have over lapping interests, you can get the word out to other students and youth.
