Canvassing for Jill at the Washington Metros – Join us at the Navy Yard Metro station on Wednesday October 19, from 4:00 - 8:00 pm and help pass out flyers to commuters at this station. You can join us whenever you can get there and leave when you must. Give us 1, 2 or 3 hours, to make contact with voters at the station and provide them with information about Jill and help win them over with your enthusiasm. We will be giving out flyers for Jill and also have some yard signs, tee-shirts, bumper stickers, and buttons too. If you volunteer, we will follow up with you later to see what time you can actually arrive and what time you must leave so that we can plan for good coverage throughout our canvassing time at this station.
Two Station Entrances: One entrance is at the NW corner of New Jersey Avenue SE and M Street SE. The other entrance is at the NW corner of Half Street SE and M Street SE. We hope to have enough volunteers to cover both entrances. We will start out at the New Jersey Ave/M Street entrance so look for us there first. With enough volunteers, we will also be at the Half Street/M Street entrance. As game time approaches, we will probably emphasize the Half Street entrance.
Get there by Metro: Parking is limited and expensive so it is best to get there by Metro. And with a baseball game likely to be played that evening, parking will be even more limited.
(Note: There is likely to be a baseball playoff game involving the Washington Nationals on the 19th. There will be lots of traffic, both regular commuters and baseball fans. So we will need lots of volunteers for this canvass.)

If you have any questions, please call or text me, Joe Corbett, at 301-755-7899 or send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org
Note that we plan to campaign at all Maryland Metro stations and some DC and Virginia Metro stations in the Washington area throughout the election season and will cover the largest stations several times. Each week we will put up additional notices on the Jill2016.com/events/grassroots page identifying which stations we plan to cover in the following week(s). Check the site frequently to see if there is a station near you where you might be able to volunteer.
