Obama: Stop night deportation raids

The Obama administration is conducting nighttime deportation raids on immigrant families fleeing the horrible violence that's rampant throughout Mexico and Central America.

Stand with Jill to call on the Obama administration to halt its shameful deportation raids on Central American refugee families!

deport2.pngOur nation of immigrants needs a just immigration system that won't allow the ruling elite to divide working people. That means halting deportations, passing the DREAM Act, and creating legal status and a path to citizenship for hard-working, law-abiding undocumented immigrants.

The US government shouldn’t be deporting innocent families who are fleeing violence, starvation and persecution in their home countries. Forcing them to return puts them at risk of rape, torture, and death. Many have already had family members murdered or actively threatened with murder.

In 2012, 70% percent of firearms recovered in Mexico over a five-year period could be traced to the US. The massive illegal flow of firearms from the United States to Mexico plays a major role in driving the massive flow of refugees running from the violence in Mexico and Central America to the U.S.

Instead of addressing the root of the problem, the Obama administration has decided to attack the people most harmed by Bill Clinton’s NAFTA, which lined the pockets of Wall Street and harmed working people on both sides of the border.

The Obama Administration’s night raids on immigrant families are a morally abhorrent response to a refugee problem deeply rooted in predatory U.S trade, drug and military policies.

Please sign and share my call for the Obama administration to halt its inhumane deportation raids on Central American refugee families.

If we the American people want to fix the immigration crisis, our first step must be to stop our government from causing it.

And we must treat those who are fleeing the consequences of our misguided policies as refugees who need our support, and who deserve the same human rights we all do.
