They have a good system not only running them through the machine but also hand counting to db verify. Lafayette township is the only township that "polices" their own polls with out the county clerk's office supervising and it shows. On election night they didn't turn in their numbers until 3am and said they reconciled the absentee votes with the cert envelopes and had them all in order. Impossible. They have not been able to figure out the mess and have asked the township board members and chief Inspector to make sense of it by sorting in alphabetical order yesterday as I left. I will return tomorrow morning. The clerk held them as accountable as she could. The day before they spent 8hrs and 4poll worked to try and figure it out according to a DNC observer.

Very open process. County Clerk in charge willing to answer any questions, workers also willling to explain what they're doing. Observers are free to walk around & watch whatever they want to. No major issues on 12/5/16 except Town of Lafayette Absentee ballot envelopes weren't in any type of workable order & 2-3 people spent hours just sorting them (& there were 100s of them). Other observers today were from Hillary for America and Trump supporters (1 in am, 1 in afternoon)
