Election Integrity depends on YOU!

The Stein/Baraka Green Party Campaign is launching an effort to ensure the integrity of our elections. We are raising money to demand recounts in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania-- three states where there is a significant need to verify machine-counted vote totals. Please donate to this initiative today.

To give you a sense of the problem, some voting machines used in Wisconsin were banned in California after they were shown to be highly vulnerable to hacking and malicious programming due to lacking security features.

"After a divisive and painful presidential race, reported hacks into voter and party databases and individual email accounts are causing many American to wonder if our election results are reliable. These concerns need to be investigated before the 2016 presidential election is certified. We deserve elections we can trust." - Dr. Jill Stein.

This is about more than the results of this one election. This is about protecting our democracy and ensuring that "We the People" can have confidence in reported results.

This effort to ensure election integrity is in your hands! In order to make this happen, we need to raise over $9 million by this Friday. In true grassroots fashion, we're turning to you, the people, and not big-money corporate donors to make this happen.

We hope to do recounts in all three states by raising $9-10 million. If we only raise sufficient money for two, we will demand recounts in two states. Because of you, we have raised enough money Wisconsin. We pledge to use any excess funding for election integrity efforts and to promote systemic voting system reform.

Here are the filing fees and deadlines for each state:

  • Wisconsin: $3.5 million by Nov 25 (Because of you, we've met this first goal!)
  • Pennsylvania: $500,000 by Nov 28
  • Michigan: $975,000 by Nov 30

Those are filing fees alone. The costs associated with recounts are a function of state law. Attorney's fees are likely to be another $2-3 million, then there are the costs of the statewide recount observers in all three states. The total cost is likely to be $9-10 million.
